In Dubai, new bike paths have appeared

In anticipation of Ramadan, two new bicycle tracks have opened in Dubai's Khawaneej and Mushrif areas for residents and visitors. This expansion has increased the total length of bicycle tracks in these areas to 39 kilometers, connecting with existing routes in these neighborhoods, totaling 32 kilometers.

These tracks, each spanning 7 kilometers, start at Qur'anic Park and Mushrif Park. They intersect a pedestrian and cyclist bridge on Sheikh Zayed Street and connect with the existing bicycle track in Al Khawaneej.

This expansion of bicycle routes is part of the RTA's plan to create dedicated spaces for walking and cycling throughout the city, aimed at promoting physical activity among residents and visitors, thereby enhancing the quality of life. The bicycle network is expected to reach 1000 kilometers by 2030, connecting key areas of Dubai such as Jumeirah, Al Sufouh, and Marina, with coastal routes in Al Qudra and Saih Al Salam through Al Barsha, Dubai Hills, and Nad Al Sheba.
