How to Refund a Portion of the Family Visa Cost in Dubai

In addition to the travel report or exit stamp, the following documents are required:

• A copy of the passenger's passport and visitor visa
• The original receipt for the payment of the security deposit

In some cases, proof of departure may not be required, as the immigration system automatically updates the status and date when the passenger leaves the UAE.

If the family visa application was submitted through the GDRFAD website, the refund request can be made directly through their portal. If the application was made through an Amer Centre or service center, the refund must be processed through them.

To request a refund, follow these steps:

1. Visit the GDRFAD website — www.gdrfad.gov.ae and click on the login icon. Sign in using UAE Pass.
2. Go to the "Existing Applications and Dependents" section.
3. Enter the application number for the visitor visa or the transaction number along with the visa expiry date.
4. Locate the visitor visa application and select the "Refund" option.
5. Review the refund amount, method, and contact mobile number. Click "Process Refund."

The applicant will receive a tracking number to monitor the refund status. The refund will be credited to the bank account within two working days.
